Elac's commitment to Total Performance Begins With Design, as exemplified by their High Excursion (HEX) surround technology, allowing for greater extrusion and reduced distortion. In addressing the need for increased movement, longer voice coils were incorporated, making the Aluminum Sandwich technology too heavy, prompting an efficiency boost by introducing cutouts in the paper cone prior to bonding with the aluminum cone. The Die Cast backrest ensures strength under load, while a large magnet completes the custom driver.

In the realm of amplification, all seven models feature a Custom Designed Amplifier leveraging BASH technology. The discreet implementation of these tracking amplifiers enables maximum voltage swing, delivering the necessary power and additional dynamic power across the entire operational range of the woofers.

Addressing the challenges of subwoofer placement, particularly in corners or concealed near couches causing reflection, peaks, or valleys, Elac introduces the principle of Auto EQ. This innovative approach removes the room's effect by conducting a near-field measurement and comparing it to a far-field (listening position) measurement, providing greater flexibility in subwoofer placement to meet all requirements.

As pioneers of APP-controlled subwoofers, Elac introduces the 3rd generation Sub Control 3.0 App with Auto EQ room correction and easy setup of multiple subwoofers, ensuring that the Varro series offers not only groundbreaking technology but also unparalleled convenience in optimizing your audio experience.
