SuperCenter Center Channel Models Overview
The SuperCenter center channel speakers are designed for high-quality home theater systems and are a perfect match for GoldenEar's Triton Towers and Aon Bookshelf loudspeakers, both in terms of sound and appearance. They feature a sleek, functional design that minimizes their size while enhancing their acoustic performance.
The speakers use a D’Appolito Array of two 5-1/4˝ bass/midrange drivers (four on the Reference model) and a High Velocity Folded Ribbon (HVFR) tweeter (or a High-Gauss Reference HVFR on the Reference model). The 5-1/4˝ drivers are equipped with spiderleg cast baskets, multi-vaned phase plugs, and top-mounted passive radiators to enhance bass response and damping. The radiators only require a couple inches of clearance above them, making them ideal for placement in cabinets or wall units.
Sonically, the SuperCenters offer a lifelike, detailed, and smooth sound quality similar to the SuperSat centers, but with added low frequency extension and higher power handling capacity for greater dynamic range and impact.
