An amplifier’s most basic, but nonetheless super-important, job description is to provide a source of clean, reliable power so your loudspeakers can operate at peak performance. This power amplification comes housed in a variety of different components. Traditional separates-based analog systems consist of a power amplifier, a preamplifier (with volume control and inputs for sources) and source components such as a turntable, disc player and/or streaming device.

An integrated amplifier includes two channels of power amplification plus the functionality of a preamplifier (volume control and inputs). Many modern integrated amplifiers also add a high-performance digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to make them even more versatile, and for the ultimate in convenience, some even add streaming, from online music services.

Here's a look at some of our most popular integrated amplifiers.

Integrated amplifiers

A compact, cost-effective 2-channel power amp, the Rega IO outputs 30 watts per channel in to 8 ohms and features two line-level inputs, a high specification Rega moving magnet phono stage, and a dedicated high quality headphone output.
