Entry-level turntable bundles that let you start enjoying vinyl right away

Want to begin playing and collecting records, but not sure where to start when it comes to building your own system? Here are five recommended turntable and speaker packages to make the process as quick and easy as possible.

Kanto YU4 in Bamboo

Kanto YU4 ($329) with Denon DP-29F ($199)

Over the years Kanto’s desktop speakers have proven time and time again to be a ListenUp best seller. The Kanto YU4 powered speakers come equipped with a built-in phono preamp, for a super easy plug and play setup to any turntable. Toggle between line-level and phono with a simple flip of a switch, and reduce noise using the provided ground terminal. You can really get the full use out of your YU4s by easily connecting your computer or TV via the RCA, AUX or one of two optical TOSLINK inputs. Available in matte black, matte white, bamboo and walnut, so you’re sure to find one that matches your décor. For a limited time, Kanto's YU4 desktop speakers are available for 20% off with a savings up to $90 depending on the finish you choose.

Pair your YU4 speakers with one of our most affordable turntables—Denon’s DP-29F—for a system just over $500. The DP-29F automatically starts the music with a simple touch of a button. When the record is finished, the tonearm automatically returns to its original position. By eliminating the need to handle the tonearm manually, you dramatically minimize the chances of inadvertently scratching your records, making it perfect for a first time turntable user.

Andover SpinDeck & SpinBase

Andover SpinDeck ($299 with code) and SpinBase ($299)

Andover's SpinDeck offers music lovers a high-grade belt-drive turntable that sets up in minutes. Made by Pro-Ject in Europe specifically for Andover Audio, it features high-quality materials, precision-engineered parts and a factory-mounted Ortofon cartridge. To celebrate Record Store Day we're offering our customers $100 towards the purchase of a SpinDeck with the use of code 'ANDOVER100' at checkout. Valid through the end of April 2022, the code will bring the price of a SpinDeck down to $299 from it's original price of $399.

Based around Andover’s patent-pending IsoGroove technology which reduces unnecessary vibrations to eliminate acoustic feedback, SpinBase is an all-in-one powered speaker system for SpinDeck (or any other turntable). It’s equipped with a built-in phono pre-amp for easy hookup, Bluetooth for wireless playback from your smart devices, and offers wide, 270º sound dispersion. Rolling Stone named it “Turntable Speaker of the Year'' for 2021.

For more authoritative bass, add the SpinSub; a compact subwoofer with dual 6.5-inch woofers in a vented enclosure driven by a 100W (Peak) Class D amplifier.

Pro-Ject Automat A1 ($499) with Sonos Five ($549)

The all-new Pro-Ject Automat A1 is Pro-Ject’s first ever fully automatic turntable. Handmade in Germany by a traditional manufacturer with a wealth of experience in making automatic turntables, the new Pro-Ject Automat series of turntables are the new pinnacle of automatic turntable design. Pro-Ject created the A1 to encourage music fanatics to take the deep plunge into the world of analog, without having fears regarding installation and complicated usage. The A1 features controlled 33/45 RPM speeds, a switchable built-in phono preamp, a damped aluminum platter, an ultra-light-mass aluminum tonearm, and comes with Pro-Ject’s semi-symmetrical Connect-it E phono cable with gold plated connectors.

Get all the details on the all-new Pro-Ject Automat A1 turntable in our video below below.

We paired the Automat A1 with the most powerful wireless home speaker from Sonos—the Five. Hi-Fi meets Wi-Fi in this perfectly tuned speaker boasting studio-quality sound. Three high-excursion woofers deliver intense lows while the sealed acoustic architecture eliminates reverb and echo, and a pair of precisely angled side tweeters widely disperse sound. Connect your Automat A1 turntable, CD player, projector, or other device directly to Five’s 3.5mm input using an aux cord. Streaming your favorite music and podcasts is simple; just plug in the power cable and the Sonos app will walk you through the rest. Double your sound with two Fives for the ultimate audio experience.
