Looking out on vistas of the Front Range, the boardroom previously contained a video projector and screen. For images to look their best, the blackout shades had to be engaged to darken the room. CoBank understandably didn’t like having to block the magnificent view of the mountains, so ListenUp created a video wall instead. The wall consists of nine 49-inch (diagonal) Planar monitors in a 3-by-3 grid for an 147-inch video presentation. The monitors are super bright, making images crisp and clear even when there’s a lot of ambient light in the room. In addition, the room received new audio processing and microphones. We created video walls in two conference rooms as well, each with Planar 55-inch monitors in a 2-by-2 grid for a 110-inch display.
The ListenUp team designed and created a comprehensive Control4 system that’s easily operated via apps on tablets and smartphones, as well as hand-held controllers and flush-mounted touchpanels. There are 30 Bowers & Wilkins in-ceiling speakers powered by high-quality NAD amps for great sound everywhere. A Samsung 4K TV is mounted in nearly every room (10 TVs in all), including an 82-inch set in the game room which also features surround sound and an SVS subwoofer. A 65-inch Samsung Terrace outdoor TV graces the dining room deck above the pizza oven, while Bowers & Wilkins Mariner all weather speakers are mounted on the stone wall. Not only this, but the home is equipped with Hunter Douglas automated shades, Lutron Homeworks lighting control system, and 15 Nest thermostats all throughout the home.
