Join us on Tuesday, August 11, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM for See It in RGB: A Sony Showcase, a special open house event happening at all four of our showrooms: Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, and Albuquerque.
This event is designed for anyone who wants to experience the latest in Sony TV technology up close. Guests will have the opportunity to explore Sony’s newest models, compare picture performance, learn more about RGB technology, and see how these advancements can transform movies, sports, gaming, and everyday viewing. Plus, attendees can leave with some exclusive Sony swag.
What Is RGB TV Technology?
RGB stands for red, green, and blue — the three primary colors used to create the images you see on screen. In traditional LED TVs, light is often produced by a white or blue backlight and then shaped through filters or other color technologies. Sony’s newer RGB LED approach is different because it uses independently controlled red, green, and blue LEDs to help create color directly from the light source.
That matters because better control over red, green, and blue light can help produce richer colors, brighter highlights, improved color volume, and more lifelike images. Sony describes its next-generation RGB LED display system as using independent RGB control with a high-density LED backlight, designed to deliver wider color gamut, higher brightness, and more subtle shading across the brightness range.
In simple terms: RGB technology is about giving the TV more precise control over color and light, so the picture can look more vivid, natural, and cinematic.

Sony’s current RGB LED lineup includes new BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II True RGB 4K HDR Google TV models for 2026, giving guests a chance to explore the newest options in the Sony TV family. Sony describes the BRAVIA 9 II as its flagship True RGB TV, with independently controlled red, green, and blue LEDs designed to deliver expanded color range, vibrant color, and deep contrast.
