Music Matters 2026 Recap: Inside ListenUp's Biggest Audiophile Event Yet

Music Matters returned to ListenUp in 2026 after a seven year hiatus, and it was everything we hoped it would be. Over two unforgettable evenings, our Denver showroom welcomed hundreds of music lovers, audiophiles, and industry partners for an immersive celebration of high-fidelity audio and home theater.

Attendees experienced incredible listening rooms featuring many of the industry's most respected brands, including MOON by Simaudio, Sonus faber, KEF, Luxman, Bowers & Wilkins, Marantz, REL, Qobuz, and many more. Guests had the opportunity to hear reference-quality systems, meet the people behind the brands, discover new music, enjoy food trucks and giveaways, and connect with fellow enthusiasts who share a passion for great sound.

Music Matters has always been about more than showcasing premium audio gear. It's about bringing people together through music and creating experiences that remind us why high-quality audio matters. Throughout the event, attendees, manufacturers, and the ListenUp team shared what music means to them, making the return of Music Matters as meaningful as it was memorable.

David Solomon from Qobuz was one of those who made their grand return to Music Matters. When we talked with him at the event, David looked back on the origins of Music Matters, shared how the event first came together, and explains why he continues to return year after year. As the official streaming partner of Music Matters 2026, Qobuz helped deliver high resolution, lossless music throughout the event, giving attendees the opportunity to experience reference quality sound across some of the world's best hi-fi systems. 

Beyond the conversation, McIntosh also introduced its latest MX124 AV Processor, highlighting major upgrades including a new analog linear power supply, ultra low noise performance, full Dirac Live suite with Bass Control, and flexible home theater connectivity designed for reference quality listening. And lastly, Matt from IsoAcoustics discussed why music matters, how isolation technology improves speaker performance, and why proper speaker isolation can unlock more from the gear you already own. The conversation also highlights IsoAcoustics' demonstration with Focal loudspeakers ,and explains why isolation products are often compared to tires on a high-performance sports car.
