Lumina Amator II: Now set at 2,600Hz, improving balance and coherence. Lumina Amator V: Features crossover points at 260Hz and 2,850Hz, delivering smoother transitions between drivers. The result? Both models feature a 29mm Damped Apex Dome (DAD) silk tweeter, a signature design of Sonus Faber. This specialized tweeter extends well beyond the range of human hearing, reducing distortion and ensuring an airy, detailed treble.

2. Midrange & Bass: A Balanced Approach
Both models use a 150mm paper midrange driver, ensuring warm and natural mids.
The Lumina Amator 5 adds two 165mm bass drivers, delivering deeper, more powerful low-end response.

This configuration allows the Lumina Amator V to dig deeper into the low frequencies, capturing the full depth of recordings without muddying the midrange.

Room Placement & Amplifier Pairing

The bottom-ported design makes these speakers more forgiving of room boundaries, meaning they can perform well even when placed near walls. This flexibility ensures excellent bass response without the usual placement challenges found in rear-ported designs.

Amp Recommendations

To truly unlock their full potential, these speakers benefit from a high-quality amplifier. Since they are nominally rated at 4 ohms, pairing them with an amp that is stable down to 2 ohms will provide the best performance.
