Sony ES is Back! STR-AZ7000ES AV Receiver Rundown

Sony’s ultra-performance ES line has returned. This time shaking up the home theater audience with four new impressive AV Receiver models led by the flagship STR-AZ7000ES. This 13.2 channel receiver pulls out all the stops with 150 watts of clean, detailed amplification, including dual subwoofer and dual center channel outputs.

It supports Dolby Atmos, DTS-X, and 360 Reality Audio. And it offers full 8k & 4k/120 from source to screen with four 8k & 4k/120 HDMI inputs, HDCP 2.3 compatibility, and two outputs (7 in/2 out total). The 7000 also offers plenty of HDR capability with support for Dolby Vision, HDR 10, Hybrid Log Gamma, and IMAX enhanced. Also, HDMI 2.1 support ensures the best low latency results for gaming with Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and variable refresh rate.

Rounding out the new ES line up is the STR-AZ1000ES with 7.2 channels at 100 watts, the STR-AZ3000ES with 9.2 channels at 120 watts, and the STR-AZ5000ES with 11.2 channels at 130 watts. Music connectivity for the ES AV receiver line includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect, and Apple AirPlay2. Plus, each model is “Works With Sonos Certified.”
