Setup tips
Dial in your rig in minutes.
- Laptop → GO link Max → IEMs/on-ears: Start with 3.5mm; move to 4.4mm balanced for lower noise/more headroom.
- Phone → hip-dac 3: Enable PowerMatch for harder-to-drive cans; use XBass+ with open-backs that sound lean.
- Desktop starter → UNO: Connect via USB-C, select it as your audio output, start with low volume; cycle the preset modes to taste.
- Desk-Fi → ZEN DAC 3 → active speakers: Set Fixed line out if your speakers have their own volume; try XBass+ at low levels.
- Add Bluetooth → ZEN Blue 3: Pair your phone/PC (use LDAC/aptX Lossless when supported); run RCA outs to powered speakers or an amp.
- Desktop hub → NEO iDSD 2: Pair via aptX Lossless for CD-quality wireless; use USB for hi-res PCM/DSD and full MQA.
- Transportable muscle → iDSD Diablo 2: Use Nitro/Turbo/Normal appropriately; 4.4mm balanced for maximum power.
- Transportable reference → iDSD Valkyrie: Try K2 vs K2HD and DSD Remastering off/on; pick your preferred digital filter.
- Two-channel & headphones → Pro iCAN Phantom: Start in Solid-state, then audition Tube/Tube+; select the correct bias card for your electrostatics.
