The GoldenEar ForceField Series subwoofers are designed to deliver high-quality sound in a compact package. The goal was to achieve state-of-the-art subwoofer performance from the smallest possible enclosures. The new ForceField 30 and 40 models boast several improvements over previous models, including:
Compact, elegant cabinet:
BRX model-inspired curved (extended-surface) top panel that better minimizes cabinet resonances
Increased wall thickness to prevent absorbing and smearing important bass transient information and impact
Perforated-metal grille for improved sonic transparency and airflow
Gorgeous and subtle Satin-Black finish
Robust, efficient amplifier:
Upgraded electronics platform based on the award-winning SuperSub X/XXL
GoldenEar SuperSub-inspired electronics with Analog Devices DSP for flatter, more extended frequency response and lower distortion
MOSFET output stage and improved implementation for greater power-transfer efficiency
Level and Low-Pass filter controls for easy optimization for home theaters, hi-fi setups, and living environments
Optimized driver configuration:
Ultra-Long-Throw Sub-Bass Driver for superior transient performance and natural detail
Quadratic Planar Infrasonic Radiator for downward-firing pressure-coupled loading and outstanding flexibility for room placement
The ForceField 30 and 40 subwoofers are designed to be subtle and invisible, allowing sound to seem to come out of nowhere, yet unignorably do its job when it needs to. The ForceField 40 has dimensions of 13.3" W x 18.3" D x 14.7" H, weighs 40.5lbs, and has a frequency response of 14Hz - 250 Hz. It features one 10" long-throw high-output bass driver, one 11" x 13" quadratic planar infrasonic radiator, and a 1200-Watt ForceField digital amplifier.
