First off: I am very happy ... but: 1. Checking the forums I don't seem to be the only one with 12V trigger issues. 90% of the time they work fine until they don't. Mostly by switching on and off manually on the processor, the triggers might or might not fire. Off seems to be more off an issue than on. 2. My reason for the upgrade from the AV8805 were the additional Front Wide channels. Again wonderful, when they engage (Mulri Ch). but I wished (I could find) a setting to add them to Stereo mode. Guess I was hoping for a 4-channel mode. 3. I know it's Marantz's style, but since forever it has annoyed me that I have to leave the front door open to see the additional (and in my opinion more important) display. That po(r)thole was never to my liking. 4. I knew ahead of time that not all 17 channels would be active at the same time, but would have been nice at $7000. I love my 9.2.8 setup, wished I could use it fully. 5. The Remote: different but not better. Volume controls are not easy to find in the dark. Backlight helps. Why the heck did they switch the sources around? I am old and learning new things... In the dark I constantly hit the wrong source- but I am getting better- although having 2 other Marantz remotes in use doesn't help... 6. Directional subs implemented, but in my first 2 weeks I have not yet noticed a difference. Guess crossing over at 40 or 60 Hz gets rid of the location issue. Oh, yeah: 30 HZ crossover option (or customizable) would be nice too. Altogether I am very happy, just wishing for this little extra to achieve perfection. If I could only find more native Auro-3D content; but that is another issue...
