Audio Technica ATH M50X LAB Edition
In January 2024, we launched a special website called "LAB M50x," marking our first initiative to involve fans in creating limited-edition models by allowing them to submit their own color designs. On this site, participants could choose from a variety of colors, in either matte or metallic finishes, for each part of the headphones. Thousands of fans shared their designs on social media using the hashtag #MyM50x2024. From the 14,560 submissions, our expert panel, which included the product manager of the ATH-M50x, selected three finalists. The winning "LAB M50x" design was chosen with 3,127 fan votes on social media.
The winning design was submitted by Sergio Gamarra, a DJ from Bolivia. Discussing his color choices, Sergio explained: “First, blue represents confidence, reflecting the quality and reliability of the M50x headset. Orange evokes energy and creativity, highlighting the excitement of the music within us. Finally, gray adds a sense of sophistication and elegance, balancing the color palette and adding a touch of modernity.”
