Perlisten R7t THX Dominus, THX Ultra Floorstanding Loudspeaker
You wanted a flagship R-Series to fill larger rooms based on the trickle-down technology from the S-Series. The second-best two-channel system in our line-up still rivals most competitor’s flagship. Employing the same DPC array and long-excursion woofers for extremely low distortion and our beam forming controlled directivity down to 500Hz make this a full-range masterpiece only rivaled by our own award-winning S7t.

As with all Perlisten loudspeakers, the R7t is centred around the DPC array, comprising of three 26mm soft domes in a vertical array. The centre dome is the HF unit, covering frequencies above 4.4kHz. A carefully formed waveguide controls horizontal dispersion to reduce side wall reflections. The same waveguide restricts vertical dispersion even more so, vastly reducing floor and ceiling reflections.
The flanking 26mm midrange domes cover between 1.25kHz and 4.4kHz, producing a more responsive midrange that far less coloured by what would conventionally be a larger driver. Their dispersion is also controlled in line with the HF unit.
The DPC array sits between two 6.5" drivers covering from 1.25kHz downwards to 500Hz, where two more LF drivers at the very top and bottom of the array cover 500Hz and below. All four bass drivers are ported out at the bottom of the cabinet, making them more rear-wall friendly. This downward firing port can be fully plugged, providing the performance of a sealed, acoustic suspension cabinet. This results in a more even frequency response across its range, and better transient response.
Used in sealed mode as a bass limited monitor, as you would most likely do in a multi-channel home theatre set up with a subwoofer, the R7t will cover 80Hz-20kHz within a very narrow +/-1.5dB deviation, and produce a massive peak output of 116dB.
All of this tech helps the R7t achieve a THX Dominus rating, capable of effortlessly filling very large rooms with cinema levels of sound quality. Even in ported mode, the R7t still achieves a THX Ultra rating.
It's All In The Details
Designed as a stand alone 2ch high fidelity speaker with the versatility to be used as part of multi-channel systems. Sharing “trickle-down” technology from our flagship S-Series, the DPC-Array here based on three 26mm domes, guarantees excellent directivity control and timbre matching with all R-Series speakers. The Silk diaphragms developed ground up, chosen specifically their smooth, effortless representation of midrange and treble. The 165mm woofers are made from our proprietary HPF pulp, two years in development, bringing new technology to one of the oldest materials used in loudspeaker design. The R7t can be aligned as bass reflex or acoustic suspension depending on specific tastes. Rich, dynamic bass matched with advanced mid/treble directivity pattern control and silky highs offer best in class performance.
