Replacing the iconic AW 600 NEMO, this monoblock amplifier takes its place as the most powerful in the Electrocompaniet lineup. A Unique Sound Signature

A New Reference Power Amplifier

At the heart of the AW 800 M is Electrocompaniet’s direct-coupled high open loop bandwidth topology, now enhanced with high slew-rate and ultra-high bandwidth amplifier stages. A newly designed output stage isolates the input and driver stages from the load, providing a robust, unaffected output. This simplifies the feedback system's task, reducing distortion to incredibly low levels.

Updated Power Supply

The power supply of the AW 800 M has undergone significant upgrades, featuring 210,000 µF of supply filtering. The mains power input is DC and RF filtered, with twin toroidal transformers that have been upgraded with thicker wire gauges and magnetic/electrostatic shielding to eliminate noise. The internal ground reference has been greatly reinforced, resulting in a noise-free, clean output signal with exceptional stability, regardless of the output power. This provides a clear, stable soundstage with an impressively silent background.

Versatile Operating Modes

The AW 800 M offers mono, stereo, and bi-amping modes, allowing you to adapt your system setup without losing your original investment. Additional convenience features include switchable auto power-down, adjustable feature lighting, user-selectable 115/230V mains voltage, and trigger input/output.

Enhanced Construction

Design improvements include a new front plate with a 3D logo, a redesigned power button, and a fully re-engineered modular chassis. Two black brushed aluminum rods run across the top, not only reinforcing the chassis but also adding an elegant design element. The amplifier is housed in a luxurious matte finish, giving it the timeless Electrocompaniet aesthetic.
