Rotel provides truly expensive sound — at a bargain price. My first experience with Rotel audio equipment was in my father’s hi-fi store back in the early 80s. More than 20 years ago, I purchased my first Rotel receiver. I recently upgraded my home theater system by replacing my non-Rotel surround sound receiver with a Rotel surround sound processor and Rotel power amplifier — and the improvement was dramatic. The difference is so impactful that I actually find myself turning up the volume during commercials when the audio quality is great — something I never used to do! Rotel’s sound quality — especially their amplifiers featuring the company’s proprietary toroidal power supply — competes with high-end audio brands that cost far more.
The Rotel A11MKII Integrated Amplifier is a high-value stereo integrated amplifier built for listeners who want real hi-fi power, modern source flexibility, and classic Rotel musicality in one clean, easy-to-use component. At its core is a Rotel-built toroidal transformer and a carefully engineered linear power supply that help deliver a quiet noise floor, fast dynamics, and confident control over a wide range of speakers.
With 50 watts per channel of Class A/B power into 8 ohms (62W into 4 ohms), the A11MKII provides the punch and refinement needed for everyday listening and serious sessions alike. It welcomes both analog and digital sources with three RCA line inputs, a built-in Moving Magnet phono stage for turntables, plus coaxial and optical digital inputs feeding a Texas Instruments 32-bit/384kHz DAC. For wireless playback, Bluetooth with aptX HD and AAC makes streaming sound notably better than basic Bluetooth implementations.
Daily operation is intentionally straightforward: front-panel bass, treble, and balance controls, simple source selection, and a motorized analog volume control driven by the included IR remote. Add in the dedicated headphone amplifier circuit with a front 1/8" headphone jack, dual 12V trigger outputs, and signal-sensing auto power on/off, and the A11MKII becomes an exceptionally easy amplifier to integrate into a modern two-channel system.
